Removing the Tubing on a Diverter Valve

1. Turn the knurled nut counter clockwise

2. Pull the knurled nut off the tubing

3. Pull the tubing over the barb and off the stud

4. Remove the knurled nut from the tubing

Turn the knurled nut counter clockwise, looking at it from the tubing end.  

2. Pull the knurled nut off the tubing

Once the nut is loose, you may have to force it over the bulge in the tubing caused by the barb on the stud.

3. Pull the tubing over the barb and off the stud

With the nut removed, pull the tubing off the barbed stud.  The tubing is held on by the sharp edge of the barb.  You may be able to wiggle the tubing off the barb or you may need to slice the tubing to remove it.

4. Remove the knurled nut from the tubing

The knurled nut should easily slide off the end of the tubing.

Replacing the Tubing on a Diverter Valve

1. Slip the knurled nut over the end of the new tubing

2. Push the new tubing onto the barbed stud

3. Thread the knurled on
